The strongest part of my visual is the color gradient because it makes the picture pop. The outline of the building could be worked on to look more accurate. I could spend more time with the pen tool making sure the buildings were outlined correctly. I used the pen tool, the type tool, and the area type tool. The pen tool was used to create the outline of the buildings, the type tool was used to create all of the sentences in the first top half, while the area type tool was used to write within the selected area.
It was easy to find a picture lay out and a quote to use to go along with it. However, outlining the figures and making the words fit within it could get a little difficult as it didn't always work. I demonstrated my goals by making the sky look like a gradient of words.
If I could do this assignment again I would probably spend more time with designing the outline of the buildings and making sure the words are aligned the way I'd like them to be. On a scale from 1-10, I would rate my effort as a 9 because I really tried to make this a good project, but I have also lost my motivation.

Poly
The strongest part of my visual is definitely how my eyebrows and hair turned out. The eyebrows look really clean and my hair looks really cool as there are several different colors, making it stand out. I think my teeth can be improved because one of the teeth got messed up, as it was connected to many other things, making it difficult to color it in. I could improve it by going back and disconnecting all of those parts so that I could color in that tooth.
Tools I used to create this work were the pen tool, the selection tool, and the eyedropper tool. I used the pen tool to create the outlines of my face, the selection tool to select each section, and the eyedropper tool to create the color in each of those sections selected. The easy part of this art activity was using the eyedropper tool to create the color because all i had to do was select it and then click on it, and it changed the color. The hardest part of the activity was using the pen tool, because there were often times where it didn't outline the portion that i wanted.
I demonstrated the goals of this activity by creating a poly graphic version of myself, which you can clearly see is myself. If i could do this assignment again, I would spend more time on it to make sure that I outlined the figures more accurately. On a scale of 1-10, I would rate my effort as an 8 for this project because I began to get stressed because it wasn't working out the way I wanted it to, so I began to give up.

Cartoon
The strongest part of my piece is my body because I feel as if it looks the most accurate. The shapes are on point and so is the color shading. I believe my head and hair could definitely be improved on. I think next time if I traced the picture rather than free hand draw it, it would look a lot more accurate. Tools that I used to create my masterpiece were the quick selection tool, the brush tool, the pen tool, the dodge tool, and the burn tool. I used the pen tool to create the outline of the character by connecting each anchor point together. After the outline was created, I used the quick selection tool to select the area I wanted to color, where I then used the brush tool to color in the selected area. After the entire cartoon was colored in, I used the dodge and burn tool to add shadows and highlights.
The coloring part of this activity was the easiest because I struggled the least. I could refer back to the original picture to get an idea of what I should color the cartoon. Creating the outline of the cartoon was the most difficult because I kept messing up the anchor points and had trouble making them curved lines. I reached my goals by making the cartoon look somewhat similar to the picture, by all of the colors being accurate. I free hand drew the picture, with still making it look accurate.
If I could do this assignment again, I would trace it instead if freehand drawing it. On a scale of 1-10, I would rate my effort a 9 on this project because I tried really hard but I struggled a little bit.

Polaroid Project
The strongest part of my visual piece is definitely the hearts with the wings on them. They put a lot of emphasis on the quote and allow the viewer to see how important the people in the picture are. They represent a strong message of love and faith, cherishing those high up above. I think I could use some improvement on piecing the polaroids together because I missed a spot. I could pay more time and attention to each and every corner of the polaroids to make sure they are pieced together just right. Tools I used for this were the Polygonal Lasso tool, selection tool, eraser, text tool, gradient tool, and the quick selection tool. I used the Polygonal Lasso tool to select and delete the extra unwanted polaroid edges to make them look realistic. I used the selection tool to move things around to where I wanted them to be. The eraser was used to erase excess white edges and the rest of the picture that didn't fit within the polaroids. With the text tool I was able to write in a quote and warp it to a curved sort of shape. The gradient tool was used to create the different shades of blue in the background, and the quick selection tool was used to select the heart with wings to move it from the scanned in picture onto the actual project.
The easy thing about this art activity was coming up with the idea of what I wanted to capture. I immediately thought of doing a memorial type project and it just all came to me at once. The difficult thing about this project was trying to figure out what color scheme I wanted to do because I wanted it to match with the picture, but I didn't want it to blend together. Also, I wanted the colors to represent the feelings the picture was presenting. I demonstrated each of the goals in this project by being able to create a sentimental piece that was in remembrance of lost loved ones, while being able to allow the viewer to be able to see how meaningful it was meant to be and allowing the color scheme to flow with the purpose.
If I could do this assignment again, I would take things a bit slower so I could make sure that everything was absolutely perfect and there were no left over excess white edges. On a scale from 1-10, I believe I would rate my effort as a 9 because I truly invested myself and my feelings into this project. However, I realized I missed a spot after it was too late, so I could've paid more attention.
